Read and outline Chapter 20 in your textbook. Super secret surprise...I will be checking outlines for the first reading check of the quarter. This chapter will finish our discussion on the early societies of Mesoamerica.

Read and outline Chapter 6 (yes, from the beginning of the book). We will be finishing our discussion of Chapter 19 in class on Thursday and Friday and will then be taking a trip back in time to study early Meso-American societies!
Read and outline Chapter 19 over the weekend to be discussed in class on Monday and Tuesday.
You may have an additional assignment assigned in class on Thursday/Friday...we will see. Read and outline Chapter 18 from the textbook. These two days will be for midterm testing in other classes, so you will not be getting any other specific homework than to have Chapter 18 ready for discussion. (10/24 A-day and 10/25 B-day)
Since we are a day behind in A-Day because of the assembly, we will be adjusting the schedule a little bit. B-Day will still have their quiz on MONDAY (10/21) but A-Day has had their quiz moved to TUESDAY (10/22). To accommodate for this, both classes need to have Chapter 17 read and outlined for class on Monday and Tuesday. Since the PLAN test is Wednesday, the adjusted schedule should get us back even with each other.
So, quiz next Monday and Tuesday. Prepare Chapter 17 for discussion after the quiz. For class on Wednesday and Thursday please read and outline Chapter 16 in your textbook. We will be having a READING QUIZ (see, no surprises) on FRIDAY - A Day and MONDAY - B Day on Chapters 13 - 15. Let me know if you have any questions!
For class next week you need to complete two separate assignments.
1. You need to read and outline Chapter 15 from the textbook. 2. You need to finish the religion chart that we started in class. If you don't know an answer, look it up. Try Google, it's useful. Read and take outline notes on Chapter 14 in the Traditions and Encounters textbook. Before we begin our discussion on the chapter, I will be giving a short lecture on Islam and its cultural influence. If you have anything that you wold like to share or you have specific questions about Islam, bring them with you for your next class period.
STUDY! You do not have any specific homework over the next few days except to study your notes, outlines, and DBQs in preparation for the Test on Friday. I have updated the "Test Review" page to include a sample timeline and sample Rome/Han comparison chart. Good luck!
